Parachutist Down in Laurel

On 23 October 2004, at 1557 hrs, Laurel EMS was alerted for a subject injured from a fall. Upon the arrival of Ambulance B 81, EMT on board found a parachutist who was injured. The parachutist had landed in a field, approximately 1 mile away from her landing zone. After assessing the patients injures, Medic 102 decided to keep Trooper 2 coming, and to transport the patient to Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Once the patient was loaded into the helicopter, the scene was placed under control at 1623 hrs. Responding unit were Ambulance B 81, 81 Command, Medic 102, Medic 107-2 and Trooper 2.
