Car Overboard at Phillip''s Landing

On Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at 1136 hours, Station 81, 71, 87, Trooper 2, Wicomico Station 14, and Medic 102 were dispatched to a reported Car Overboard at Phillip?s Landing Boat Dock.
Rescue 81 responded with Past Chief Bill Hearn & two divers. Upon the arrival of Rescue 81 DSP was on scene and advised that a white car was underwater at the end of the dock.
Divers Richie Condon & Mac McTeer suited up in dive suits and entered the water. Once underwater it was confirmed that no patients were in the vehicle. At this time Command cancelled all other Dive Teams & Trooper 2.
The operation was now changed from searching for victims to removal of the vehicle from the water. The situation was placed under control at 1158 hours. Carey?s Towing arrived on scene and began to remove the vehicle. However, the vehicle was stuck under the dock. Therefore, it took several attempts to remove the vehicle.
