Working House Fire on Beaver Dam Branch Road

On Sunday, November 27, 2005 at 1327 hours Stations 81, 71, and 77 were alerted for a House Fire on Beaver Dam Branch Road
81-Command responded with Deputy Chief Hill. Smoke was visible from Station 81.
Deputy Hill arrived on location to find a single family dwelling with fire visible from sides ?A? & ?D?.
As Engine 4 was leaving Station 81 and they were delayed because of a train. After they advised Sussex of this, Command then requested Station 79 to be alerted.
Engine 3 was the first Engine on scene and placed a 1 ¾ hand line in service. Shortly after, Engine 4 arrived and also placed a hand line in service.
Command had the crews from Station 71 and Station 77 ladder the structure & begin ventilation. Additional crews from 77 and 71 assisted in overhaul of the structure.
Crews had the fire under control at 1403 hours. Command released all units at 1538 hours.
