Driver Flees The Scene Of Collision

On Monday February the 6th at approx. 0320 hours the LFD was alerted for a MVC on Salt barn road east of Sussex highway. Fire/EMS crews arrived on scene to find a single vehicle off the roadway and into an irrigation system. Fire/EMS crews could not find the operator of the vehicle. The operator was extremely lucky to escape unharmed as the vehicle sustained heavy damage. The incident was placed under control at 0332 hours. Last units were back in service at 0340 hours. Chief Mark Sheridan had command of the incident.
