The first responding unit was 81 Command with Deputy Chief Mike Lowe. The first responding engine was 81-4 with Asst. Chief Keith LeCates. Upon arrival, Lowe found heavy smoke from the rear of the house.

Eng. 81-4 proceeded to the front of the house and crews made an attack. Tower 81 arrived with Fire Chief Mark Sheridan as officer.
