On 12-30-2011 at 7:30pm the Sussex County 911 Center alerted Sta.81 Laurel for an accident with injuries on Rt.13 in the area of Waller Rd. 81 Command arrived on location to find a Ford Explorer upside down of the side of Rt.13 with the driver still trapped inside. The crew from Tower 81 went to work using rescue tolls to stabilize the vehicle and cutting the driver out. The rescue operation took 15 mins to get the driver freed. The driver was transported via A-71 (Blades) to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital for treatment. Rt.13 was shut down to one lane of traffic during the alarm.
