On May 13, 2013 at approximately 0551, Station 81 along with Medic 102 was alerted for an MVC roll over involving a tanker truck. Crew from ambulance A-81 arrived on scene along with Medic 102 to find one 8,000 gallon gasoline tanker on its passenger side and the driver outside of the vehicle walking......

On Saturday April 4th, 2013, members of the SCEMS and SCVFAA joined together to present awards to the area Fire/EMS personnel for outstanding service throughout 2012. Several members of the Laurel Fire Department attended this year’s banquet, with one career staff personnel receiving an award.
