MVC - Sussex Highway

On Saturday November the 6th the LFD stayed busy responding to numerous calls including 4 vehicle accidents, a combine fire, and a medical assist, along with 13 EMS calls. This MVC occured at approx 1251 hours on sussex highway near janosik furniture store. Captain Tim Walker responded in command 81 to find a two vehicle MVC with heavy damage to vehicles. Ambulance B-81 and SCEMS arrives and directs attention to the most serious patient lying on roadway. Trooper 2 arrives and sets down just east of scene and assists EMS. Rescue arrives and assists EMS and secures vehicles. E-3 and E-4 arrive and assist on traffic. Two patients were transported during incident, one by trooper 2, and one by ground to NMH with no life threatening injuries. Command placed incident under control at 1312 hours. Last units cleared scene at 1332.
