Heavy Rain Causes MVC

On the Morning of Friday January 14th heavy wind and rain brought out the LFD for a MVC on Sussex highway. Captain Tim Walker responded in command 81 and arrived on scene to find a minor MVC with no serious injuries. Ambulance 71 from Blades was dispatched due to a second Emergency in Laurel. Three patients were checked, and one was transported by Ambulance 81 as a BLS unit to NMH. Two refusals were obtained on scene by Ambulance 71 and an additional EMT from Laurel. Rescue workers checked, and secured the vehicles. Command 81 placed incident under control shortly after, placing all units back in service.
