On Saturday May 14th at 1753 hours the LFD was alerted for a MVC on Sharptown road just west of Town. EMS crews arrived and found two patients, and were advised by them that a vehicle hit them, and had fled the scene. Deputy Chief Hill arrived and established Sharptown road command. Rescue 81 arrived and was advised by Command to check and secure the vehicle. Command was notified that the other vehicle was stopped in town and Engine 4 was diverted there. Ambulance B-81 was also cleared from scene to respond and check patient from that vehicle. EMS personnel obtained two patient refusals from the victims that were struck by the vehicle that fled. Laurel BLS transported the driver of the other vehicle for evaluation. Deputy Chief Hill placed incident under control at 1820. Last units were clear and in service from both incidents at 1828 hours.
