On Thursday May 26th at approx. 1637 hours the LFD along with SCEMS (102) and Trooper 2 were dispatched to a MVA on Sharptown road west of Laurel. BLS/ALS units arrived and found one patient that had been ejected from the vehicle during multiple rollovers. Rescue 81 arrived with Fire Chief Mark Sheridan and Sharptown road command was established. Rescue workers checked and secured the vehicle and established a landing zone for Trooper 2. Engine 5 assisted with traffic control by shutting off westbound traffic. EMS workers packaged the patient for Trooper 2 to airlift to PRMC. Chief Sheridan placed incident under control at 1701 hours. Last 81 units were back in service at 1737 hours.
