Car vs. Disposal Truck

On July 28, 2005 at 1144 hours, Station 81, Medic 102, Medic 107, & Trooper 2 were dispatched to a MVC with Rescue on Gordy Road N/O Whitesville Road. While units were en-route Sussex EOC advised units they had multiple reports of a car vs. truck with one patient trapped. Medic 102 arrived on scene and confirmed car vs. truck with one priority one patient due to mechanism. B-81 arrived on scene and assisted medic 102 with pt care.
Upon arrival of Rescue 81 command was established. The crew from Rescue 81 secured the vehicles for possible extrication and assisted with Pt care. After assessment of vehicle it was decided patient could be removed without extrication.
Trooper 2 landed and transported one priority one patient to PRMC. Command placed the scene under control at 1208.
