On Saturday, November 26, 2005 at 1253 hours Station 81 was alerted for a grass fire just off Bi-State Blvd.
81-Command arrived on location & Chief Sheridan found a small grass fire that began to spread under a vehicle along with an exposure to a shed.
Brush 81 arrived on location & began to extinguish the fire under the vehicle while the crew from Engine 4 began to extinguish the fire that was near the shed.
It is believed that the fire was caused by a trash barrel to close to other flammable sources.
