Fatal MVC, near Hardscrapple...

On 02 May 2006, at approximately 1450 hrs, Laurel Fire Department, Medic 102 and Trooper 2 responded to an MVC with injuries, involving a tractor trailer.
EMS Capt Mike Lowe arrived on scene, in POV, confirming entrapment. Fire Chief, Mark Sheridan, arrived on scene and established Hardscrapple Rd. Command.
Trooper 2 was committed on another emergency; therefore, Maryland Trooper 4 was dispatched.
Pt. was rapidly extricated from the vehicle and transported to NMH. The second pt. was flown to PRMC by Trooper 4.
The driver of the tractor trailer was transported to NMH.
Units remained on scene for approx. an hour and a half.
