Rainfall Keeps LFD Busy

The Laurel Fire Department started their morning out at approx. 0818 hours on June the 25th answering calls and returned to quarters nearly 9 hours later. The LFD responded to 13 Fire/Rescue incidents in and out of our district and 5 EMS calls during the duration of this strong precipitation that moved across the area causing flash flooding. Deputy Chief Hill coordinated the efforts in the Laurel area; Chief Mark Sheridan assisted Blades Fire Chief Ron Fensick with evacuations of two mobile home parks near Blades. Pictures are damage from the Woodland ferry road in Laurel and Rescue personnel working in the Mobile Gardens Park.
