Driver Lucky In Collision With Pole

While units were clearing the previous fire, we were alerted for a motor vehicle accident on Trussums pond road. A-81, E-2, E/T-5 responded and arrived on scene to find a single vehicle accident with a pick-up into a pole. Chief Mark Sheridan established command. BLS crews checked the patient, who was extricated prior to our arrival, and requested ALS to the scene. Fire/EMS packaged the patient and meets the Medics enroute to hospital. Firefighters secured the vehicle on scene and electric company was notified to check the pole. Chief Sheridan placed the incident under control at 1651 hours. Last 81 units were placed in service from both incidents at 1700 hours.
