Dense Fog Causes MVC

On the morning of September the 5th dense fog moved in the area resulting in dangerous driving conditions. At approx. 0731 hours the LFD and SCEMS were alerted for an MVC with injuries on County Seat HWY.

Chief Mark Sheridan responded and arrived in Command 81. Chief Sheridan found a two vehicle MVC, with entrapment in the vehicle in the roadway. ALS/BLS checked the patients and advised of one being ALS, and the other being BLS. Rescue 81 arrived and went to work extricating the injured driver. Additional BLS unit was requested to the scene from (71) Blades. Two patients were transported during incident with no serious injuries. Chief Sheridan placed incident under control at 0803. Last 81 units were placed into service at 0846 hours.
