Overturned Truck With Rescue

On February the 13th at approx. 2120 hours, the LFD was alerted for a vehicle overturned on Discount land road. Deputy Chief Hill arrived on scene to find a pick-up on its side with a subject trapped. Rescue personnel went to work stabilizing the truck with cribbing and paratech struts. BLS/ALS checked the operator for injuries. Rescue personnel utilizing holmatro tools made a series of cuts, and flapped the roof down to extricate the injured. EMS packaged the patient for transport to NMH. An additional passenger in the vehicle refused to be transported to the hospital. Deputy Chief Hill placed the incident under control at 2151 hours. Last units were clear the scene and back into service at 2229 hours.
