MVC With Unconscious Subject

On February the 29th at 2037 hours the LFD, SCEMS, and Trooper 2 were dispatched for a MVC on East Trap Pond road. Fire/EMS units arrived on scene to find a two vehicle MVC with an unconscious subject trapped in a vehicle on its side. Rescue personnel went to work stabilizing the vehicle and rapid extricating the operator. EMS personnel packaged the priority 1 patient to the awaiting Trooper 2 for transport to PRMC. The operator of the second vehicle had fled the scene unaccounted for. The incident was placed under control at 2100 hours. Rescue personnel remained on scene to assist DSP with lights while they investigated. Last 81 units were placed into service at 2206 hours. Asst. Chief Alan Schweitzer had command of the incident.
