Brush Fire - Hastings Drive

On Friday September 5, 2008 at approximatelly 1745 hours Laurel Fire Department was dispatched for a brush fire on Sharptown Road just outside of town. Command went responding with Rescue Captain Eric Whaley. Asst Chief Brittingham was on scene with a burn barrel on fire that had extended into the brush. 81-1 went on scene and made a quick extinguishment on the fire. Command place situation under control shortly after returning 81-0 and 81-4 and holding 81-1 and 81-5 on scene. Last units returned at 1800 hours. Units on scene were Command 81, 81-1, 81-5 and 81 Fire Police.
