Fatal MVC North of Town - Seaford Rd. South of Camp Rd.

On July 24, 2009 at 9:55 PM, Sussex EOC alerted Station 81 along with Sussex County Medic 102, and Trooper 2 for a serious MVC on Seaford Rd. north of Laurel. 81 Command responded with Assistant Chief Jeff Hill. Command arrived and found a Dodge Dakota off the roadway with serious damage. EMS units arrived and began their assessments. One single occupant was pronounced dead at the scene. Units remained on scene for an extensive amount of time. The roadway was shutdown for approximately 3 hours. DSP is investigating the collision. Units Responded: 81 Command, Engine 81-2, Engine 81-4, Rescue 81, A-81, B-81, Sussex County Medic 102, Fire Police, DSP, and Deldot.
