Single Vehicle Collision on Rt. 13 - Sussex Hwy. & Scarborough Ln.

On February 15th, 2010 at 12:06 PM, Sussex EOC alerted Station 81 for a vehicle accident on Sussex Highway South of Gordy Rd in the area of Scarborough Lane. Past Chief Sheridan 81-22 responded in 81 Command and arrived on scene to find single vehicle and enclosed trailer overturned. Rescues 81 responded under direction of Past Chief Hearn and were assigned to split their crew to stabilize the vehicle and assist EMS. Laurel’s primary ambulance was already out on another emergency therefore an ambulance was requested out of Delmar. Engine 81-4 Arrived and assisted with cleaning debris off roadway. Ambulance 74 packaged and transported two patients to PRMC. Roadway was reduced to one lane Southbound until emergency crews could remove all debris. 81 Command placed situation under control at 12:33 returning all units.
