Award Winner Joins Cadet Ranks - Laurel Fire Dept

Adam Ryan has joined the Laurel Fire Department Cadet ranks after the Delaware Children's Fire Safety Foundation presented him with it's SafeTbear Hero Award for efforts he preformed. On October 7th Adam was walking home from his school bus stop when he encountered a serious injured gentleman lying in his yard. Adam attempted to assist the individual, called 911 and assisted the EMS Crew upon their arrival. Adam is a 9th grade student at Sussex Tech, an active member of the ROTC and says he looks forward to becoming a Laurel Fire Dept. Cadet. We congratulate Adam on the recognition that he received and welcome him as our newest Cadet.
