Water Rescue at Phillips Landing - Phillips Landing

On August 1st at 15:37 hours, LFD, Blades, Seaford and Sharptown, together with SCEMS were alerted for a water rescue at Phillips Landing. Asst. Chief Jeff Hill responded as 81 Command. Upon arrival Hill was advised that a swimmer had gone down in the vicinity of the boat ramp. Command was established and recovery operations were organized. DNREC was on scene along with State Police and Aviation to assist. Westside Fire Co, from Wicomico County also responded. A search of the area by dive teams was successful recovering the victim at 17:39 hours.
