LFD on Stand-by in Georgetown runs MVC Call - County Seat Highway

The Laurel and Harrington Fire Departments were providing stand-by so the Georgetown FD could put on their 74th annual oyster eat when they were alerted for a MVA with entrapment. Command 77 with Deputy Chief Mark Rodgers, along with Harrington E 50-5 and Laurel E/T 81-5 responded and arrived on scene to find a single vehicle on its side with a subject trapped. Rescue personnel went to work stabilizing the vehicle and extrication began. Due to both units only having combi tools command requested Rescue 77 to the scene. Rescue workers were able to free the trapped driver and he was transported by Ambulance 83 to local hospital with no serious injuries. Command placed the incident under control shortly after and units returned to station 77 (Georgetown).
