Structure Fire - Hay Barn - Laurel Road

At approximately 1230hrs Station 81 was alerted for a structure fire. Station 79, 83, 74, 71, Maryland Station 14 and Medic 102 were also alerted for the assist. Upon arrival Command 81, Mark Sheridan instructed crews to begin attack on hay barn. The involved hay barn was exposed to grain silos, pesticide tanks and livestock. Crews worked for approximately four and half hours to gain control of smoldering fire. David G. Horsey and Sons loaned equipment that was utilized to remove smoldering hay and other debris from the still burning barn. Command Sheridan cleared all units at approximately 1715hrs.
