On Friday July 6th the Laurel Fire Department provided a stand-by crew for Station 2 in Salisbury, while they attended funeral services for Retired Assistant Chief David Walston. Shortly after getting settled in Station 2’s quarters we were alerted for a MVC with injuries on Northwood Drive. Laurel E-2 responded along with Parsonsburg EMS and found a 2 vehicle collision with minor injuries. Parsonsburg EMS transported 2 patients to PRMC. Once back into Station 2 not much time to relax before we were requested by Asst. Chief Records for a woods fire in 16’s first due. Willards FD was providing stand-by there, and was first due with Engine 801 and Brush 16. Laurel E-2 arrived and assisted them with extinguishment of the remaining hot spots. The Laurel Fire Department would like to thank the Salisbury Fire Department for giving us the opportunity to protect and serve the citizens of Salisbury.
