On July the 13th the Laurel (81), Delmar (74), and Gumboro (79) Fire Departments were dispatched for a Trailer fire on Briarwood Lane. Command 81 with Deputy Chief Mark Sheridan responded and arrived on scene to find a single wide Trailer fully involved, with exposures to propane tanks a pick-up, and additional Trailers. With E-2 and E-3 enroute command advised incoming units that a second Trailer was now on fire. Command requested Blades (71) to the scene at this time. E-2 arrives and goes to work knocking down the involved Trailer. E-3 arrives and starts fire suppression on the second Trailer now on fire. Engine/Tanker 81 arrives and supplies E-2. Engine/Tanker 74 arrives and supplies E-3. Additional units arrive from Delmar, Blades, and Gumboro and provide water and manpower for extensive overhaul. 3 Trailers were damaged in the incident, 1 a total loss.
