Assist 71 (Blades) On Commerical Building Fire - Perdue Agra-Recycle Plant

On Saturday evening at 18:52 hours Station 71 was alerted for an automatic alarm at Perdue Agra-Recycle Plant. 71 Command responding with Chief Engineer Earl Chaffinch, and arrived on scene to find heavy smoke coming from the building. Command notified Sussex EOC for a full response, which then re-alerted Station 71 and adding 81 (Laurel) and 87 (Seaford). Firefighters went to work extinguishing the fire. Master streams were utilized so additional Stations were alerted adding 72 (Bridgeville), 74 (Delmar), and 14 (Sharptown) for additional Tankers. Firefighters were on scene for approx. 2 hours.
