March 8th Engine 4 Progress Report - Pierce Mfg Appleton, WI

This week, the body and tank were mounted on our new apparatus chassis followed by installation of wiring, plumbing, compartment components, trim, etc. Next week, expect assembly to continue. The Engine is designed from the specifications of a recent order of Engines for Prince George's County Maryland. The big features of the Engine will be a short wheelbase , to allow for better maneuverability for firefighters in the Town of Laurel, and a low rear hose bed to allow easy deployment of and hose lines.
