Laurel Emergency Medical Technicians Recognized for Their Service On the 4th of November the Phoenix Society of Sussex County Emergency Services held their annual recognition banquet. Due to Covid the awards had not taken place since 2018, The Phoenix Society is a combination effort of the Office of Emergency Services, The County Ambulance Association, and the County Department of Emergency Operations. Its purpose is to recognize Paramedics, Emergency Medical Technicians and Dispatch Professionals who have participated in a call that involved a Cardiac Arrest with the patient being successfully resuscitated. Pictured are seven individuals, of the Laurel Fire Dept., that preformed on a call involving Cardiac Arrest where the patient survived.
