In Climate Weather Causes MVC

On 17 Jan 2005, at approximately 0630, Laurel Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle collision. The first unit on scene, from Station 2, was ENG 3. ENG 3 arrived on scene to find a single vehicle into a tree. The individual had self extricated himself prior to our arrival. The next unit on scene was 81 Command with 81-15 (Sheridan). 81 Command advised the ambulance personnel that their patient was in the civilian''s vehicle parked next to the accident scene. Patient was loaded into the ambulance and medics were requested, due to mechanism of injuries. Weather was definitely part of the cause of the incident. Scene was placed under control at 0725. Responding units were 81 Command, ENG 3, Rescue 81, Ambulance A-81 and SCEMS Medic 102.
