Three Departments Responded to Reported Building Fire

On Sunday, June 12, 2005 at 1432 hours Station 81, 74 & Wicomico Station 14 were dispatched for a reported structure fire at Little Creek Apartments. 81- Command responded with Deputy 81. While en-route Sussex EOC advised command they had several reports of smoke coming out of the apartment with an audible alarm.
Command arrived on scene and found nothing showing. Engine 4 arrived on scene with Asst. Chief Schweitzer. The crew made entry into the apartment and found a light haze of smoke caused by unattended cooking. Command then cancelled Station 74 & 14. The situation was placed under control at 1453.
