On Friday August the 26th the LFD was preparing to clear a previous MVC when Dispatch alerted 81 units for a second emergency for a MVC with entrapment on Sussex highway. At approx. 1619 hours LFD units responded to a MVC and arrived on scene to find a three-vehicle collision with minor entrapment. ALS and BLS providers assess patients and get a confirmed count of how many patients will need to be transported. Rescue 81 arrived and crew goes to work on stabilizing the SUV, and extricating the passenger. Two patients would require transport and refusals was obtained from the remaining operators involved. Two patients from the SUV were transported to NMH one with ALS. Command 81 placed incident under control at 1704 hours. Last units were clear after vehicles were removed from roadway. All units were back in station 81 at 1724 hours.
