On the morning of February the 20th at approx. 0632 hours, the chain of weather related motor vehicle collisions begun. Light snow started falling, with some black ice present, and road conditions became treacherous for morning commuters. The LFD responded to 6 motor vehicle collisions within two hours. No serious injuries were sustained during any of the incidents; however numerous vehicles were damage throughout the morning hours. Last 81 Fire/EMS units were back in service at 0910 hours. Chief Mark Sheridan had incident command on the incidents.
