LFD committee members recently took the afternoon to check the status on their new Brush truck, and finalize the specifications on the unit. Included on the new truck is a 225 gallon poly water tank, 8 gallon foam cell, with a hale 18 HP gasoline pump, and electric ground sweeps. Also included are custom made compartments with a hose tray on the drivers side carrying 100? of 1.5? single jacket hose that is pre-connected with a gated valve for forestry hose. 12000 lb winch on front bumper with a power plug at rear step for portable winch. Two 12 volt telescoping lights with full compliment of LED emergency lights. Booster reel with 150? of 1 inch booster hose, with a secondary hannay dead reel on the rear with 500? of forestry hose. The unit is Black over Red in coordination with Laurel Fire Department?s new paint scheme. Fabrication is being done by Morean?s Fire Equipment. The expected completion date is sometime in May 06.
