Entrapment on Firetower Road

On Saturday, February 10, 2007, at 1611 hours Sussex E.O.C alerted Station 81, Medic 102, and Trooper 2 for a Motor Vehicle Accident. While en-route Sussex advised A-81, 81-Command, and Medic 102 there was entrapment of at least one patient. A-81 arrived on scene and found entrapment of two patients at the intersection of Fire Tower Road & Taylor Mill Road. Engine 81-4 responded from Station 2 and arrived on scene shortly after A-81. 81-Command (Deputy Chief Hill) established 81 Command. The crew from Engine 81-4 stabilized the vehicle and used the portable Holmatro Tool to extricate the patients. The crew from Engine 81-2 pulled a 1 ¾?? hand line. Two patients were transported by ground to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital.
