Chicken House Fire- Sycamore Road

On Thursday, March 29, 2007 Sussex E.O.C. alerted Stations 81, 71, 87, & Medic 102 for a reported structure fire on Sycamore Road at 1441 hours. Fire Chief Mark Sheridan arrived on scene to find a Chicken House fully involved.

Units from all stations responding, quickly deployed hand lines to protect exposures. There was another chicken house about 60 feet away and propane tanks in between both houses.

Crews worked until approximately 1700 hours.

Engine 77 & Engine 14 responded into the scene to assist with overhaul.
