Travel Trailer Fire

On 4-19-07 the Sussex County 911 Center alerted Station 81 Laurel for a structure fire at 32994 Bi-State Blvd south of Laurel. An officer from Sta.74 Delmar, 74-18 Brooks Morris was just around the corner and responded in his personal vehicle. He arrived and found a 35 foot travel trailer fully involved and advised Sussex 911 center of such. First arriving unit was Engine 81-2 led by 81-21 (Tim West). They placed a 1 ¾ inch hose line in service and began getting a knock on the fire. Engine Tanker 81 shortly after and began to assist crews with putting the fire out. Crews started using foam to extinguish the fire. The alarm was placed under control in 17 minutes.
