On July the 30th at approx. 1316 hours the LFD, along with Delmar EMS and Medic 102 were alerted for a vehicle accident with entrapment. Chief Mark Sheridan responded and arrived to find a mini van, with the operator trapped. Asst. Chief Brittingham was in the area in POV and was given the assignment of extrication officer. Rescue 81 with Captain?s Chaffinch and West arrived and coordinated rescue efforts with Brittingham. Rescue personnel went to work with cutters and spreaders to free the trapped driver. Once the driver was freed she was transported to PRMC by Paramedic 74. Chief Sheridan placed the incident under control at 1351 hours. Last 81 units were in service at 1404.
