While Laurel units were working at the station to get back into service after the previous house fire, we were dispatched for an MVC on Sussex highway at the intersection of Whitesville road. Georgetown 77-2 had just cleared our station and was diverted to the scene to assist.
Deputy Chief Hill responded and arrived on scene and established command. Laurel BLS arrived and started checking for injuries. E 77-2 with Past Chief Joey Pepper arrived and was given the assignment to check the vehicles and assist the EMS crew. Rescue 81 arrived and crew assisted Georgetown firefighters with securing vehicles and loading patients. Two patients were transported during incident with no serious injuries.
Deputy Chief Hill placed incident under control at 1702 hours. Last 81 units were back into service at 1715 hours. We would like to thank Georgetown for standing by for the duration of our fire, and handling two additional emergencies in our district.
