On The early morning hours of June the 5th while units were clearing the structural collapse, the LFD along with mutual aid assistance from Rescue 77 (Georgetown) were alerted for a MVC, with wires down and entrapment on County Seat Highway. Chief Sheridan responded and arrived on scene and confirmed the report. BLS/ALS arrived and was unable to make patient contact until the power could be shut down. Priority alert was made to Delaware Electric to secure the power. Power Company arrived and secured the electric and personnel went to work treating and extricating the driver. Rescue workers made quick work to free the priority 1 driver. The patient was transported to PRMC in serious but stable condition. Chief Sheridan placed the incident under control at 0532 hours.
