Structure Fire - Airport Road

Station 81 was alerted to an appliance fire at approximately around 16:04. EOC then upgraded call to a structure fire adding Station 14 and Station 74 to the call. Command 81, with Donnie Layton, arrived on scene with smoke showing and took Airport Rd command. Firefighter Dwayne Chaffinch arrived on scene via POV and started to extinguish the fire with a fire extinguisher. 81-2 arrived shortly thereafter and assisted with removal of dryer out of the home. Situation was put under control and all other units were returned to service. Crews then opened windows in the household allowing for natural ventilation and shortly returned to service.
