Fatal MVC Involving a School Bus

Once again the Laurel Fire Department is faced with another fatal accident in Just over a week. Crews from Laurel Fire Department responded to a 2 vehicle MVC involving a school bus with rollover, and another vehicle on its side, with a driver with fatal injuries. This was at the intersection of Hardscrabble Road and E Trap Pond Road east of Laurel Delaware. Additional crews from Georgetown Fire Company, and EMS from Georgetown/Station 93, Blades Volunteer Fire Company, Seaford EMS, Millsboro EMS, Sussex County EMS, Delaware State Police Aviation Section, and Life Net, Inc. The Sussex County Technical Rescue Team also made a response. Fire/Rescue and EMS personnel worked to extricate one child in the bus. Several other kids with minor injuries were able to self-extricate off the bus. Laurel Fire Department would like to thank all who responded and assisted on scene. Great teamwork by all.
